ULTRA BLACK Collection Ula Cafe Gallery Exhibition
Ultra Blackness is a collection of digital illustrations that draw upon urban pop culture related to the past and present. Instead of using just shades of browns to represent melanated skin tones the color black is used to emphasize rich cultural heritage.
Elements of hip-hop cultures and other styles that represented blackness have been highlighted. Focusing on moments to honor and uplift one another.
This work only touches upon some of the things that make being black beautiful because there is no one way to be or represent blackness.

Bald-ish
Black women historically are known for their hair, from headwraps to kinky curls, slayed lace fronts, knot-less braids. However, no matter if there is hair present a black woman is still a queen no matter what’s on top of her head.
Black Man I LUV U
