CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY MONTH @ ROXBURY BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY: PIECES OF ME SEWING WORKSHOP

Celebrate Black History Month with Zahirah Nur Truth of ZNT Arts. A fun interactive hand sewing project, “The pieces of Me” for children ages 6-10 years old. We will learn about the history of sewing, quilting, and patch work through the African Diaspora and talk about how hand sewing was used to tell stories, pass on knowledge and share feelings. Participants will be able to develop their own beautiful stories through art.

Featuring special ART2GO Boxes from sparc! CREATIVE SPACES

The spirit of generosity permeates every program of sparc! The ArtMobile. From our Journals and pens, our pins and stickers to our quilt squares and coloring sheets. Nowhere is this spirit more evident than in the ART2GO initiative.  Available on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last.
