Artist Educator Visionary
These series of anatomical heart paintings were created out of a need to document my journey through a health challenge centered around a stroke that occurred in April of 2017. Here I depict light and darkness juxtapose next to each other to convey some feelings I may have felt during my recovery process. Sometimes feelings are abstract and hard to articulate. These articulate my feelings through the application of acrylic painted on lightly primed wood canvas.
